As a deaf person, I do appreciate well-crafted captions. Unfortunately last week my husband wanted me to watch an Icelandic series he was excited about, but--to my frustration--there were subtitles when foreigners spoke but no captions for the Icelandic. Sigh. I thought of when you mentioned people with hearing impairments watching content from other countries.
